Michał Mąka
Born in 1989 in Kalisz ,Poland. In 2015, he graduated in painting and graphics from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
I deal with painting, street art, murals.
The source of my creative inspirations is reflection on the human condition and the modern world. There is a need to protest against double morality and the pursuit of a sensation, also affecting the digital space. In my compositions, I attempt to paint a comparison of glitch art with classical art. The point of reference is the digitization of our everyday life. While carrying out the work, I ask the viewer a painting question: What function does the painting play today? Is this digital the most important thing? In this way, I would like to encourage the recipient to reflect and have closer contact with the world around us. The layering and color of my painting symbolize the depth of emotions that accompany me during my creative activities. On the surface, they may seem simple to perceive through their figurativity, but when we delve into them, they may show us a completely different dimension. I carry out my works in a style close to my heart, which is the culture of street art from which I come.
